Flashback Fridays … Boy George

This Karma Chameleon was not only a major trendsetter, but also one of the biggest fashion icons of the 1980′s. Boy George became the biggest star to rise out of the “New Romantic” movement happening in London in the late 70′s. At what first started as an underground society, the “New Romantics” quickly became the hottest scene happening in town. The center of all the action was The Blitz nightclub, where Boy George regularly DJ’d. However his popularity really started growing when he turned his interest to singing. He eventually became the lead singer of Culture Club. With a string of hit records and die hard fans all over the world, Culture Club quickly became one the most successful pop groups of the 1980′s.
